I really love the keto lifestyle. I know there are lots of delicious things that one must part with in their original sense, however the secret is to keep your focus on all the rich things you get to eat! Also, if you’re hankering to have some sort of carby thing, chances are there is some sort of substitute recipe out there that will satisfy the craving (enter Fat Head Dough instead of wheat based pizza dough... what?!?! So good)
The second reason I really love this lifestyle is because it is one of the only ways I’ve seen dramatic and immediate improvement in my health and weight loss.
The very first time I dove into keto, I did very little research and jumped right into the deep end. Although I lost like 8 pounds in that first week, I also got the keto flu something awful and had absolutely no idea that that was even a thing. (I ended up taking a pregnancy test thinking that maybe that was the culprit to why I felt so terrible, alas no baby on board at that time). The flu-like symptoms lasted about 4 days and then the cloud lifted and I was a whole new person!
Brain-fog lifted, energy... woke, motivation--- on fire! I followed the orthodox, classic keto approach to the “T” and I dropped weight like crazy. Nearly 45 pounds in total.
I've been in and out of the keto diet or ketogenic lifestyle, if you will, for the past 2 years. The first time was my most in depth time and I was able to lose about 30lbs in 3 months, which was crazy! It was the first time in my life that I saw real results in a relatively short amount of time and every day that I saw a few ounces or pounds come off that scale or saw my jean size shrink from a 8/10 to a size 4 was everything I needed to keep my spirit up, my discipline in gear and my motivation on track.
I've had a lot of family and friends ask me where to find out more information about the ketogenic lifestyle and its always a very long text because there are so many great places and people to learn from.

Do you like journaling or currently have a journal that you use consistently? You are ah-mazing! I want to be you by the end of 2019...that's one of my goals anyways.
I definitely like the idea of journaling and/or using a planner, but have always found it difficult to keep up. Back in high school, we were given a planner to keep up with schoolwork, tasks to-do, schedule tests and quizzes coming up... obviously I went to school pre-cell phone era, yeesh that totally aged me.
Anyways, my point is that in those years, I was very organized and productive. Why didn't I continue the habit? Looking back, I really wish I did.
Look at those kids, that's what we were back then, just a couple of kids.
I love those kids.
Looking at them gives me all the warm feels. Takes me back to when we were sweet all the time, romantic, and wistful and couldn't keep our hands off of each other between traffic lights. I remember them clearly.
I love Danny. Its safe to say that I love this man more today than back then. I am so very proud of the relationship that we have cultivated between the two of us and the family we have built, the little humans that we're bringing up and that they seem to be well-adjusted, warm-hearted, and filled with personality.
Our short 6 years married and 9 years together have proven to me that all the roadblocks and bumps we've encountered and weathered together make the sweet times so much more meaningful.
It has to be said though that getting through the rougher moments requires a bit of elbow grease. Resolving an issue takes time and a whole LOT of communication. Sometimes, my personality type just takes to shutting down when I'm not operating as by best possible self.
Welcome! Danny and I have created this website with the hopes of inspiring with what inspires us everyday. Why lazy achievers, you ask? Well, we've realized that it is too easy for days, weeks, even whole years to pass without purposeful living. So, in an effort to transform our and our kiddos' lives, as we live in and around our routines, we will be sharing how we find joy in them...or, rather, how we are constantly finding opportunities to make something mundane into a joyful, gratifying experience.
It all started with how we yearned for some lazy time without the guilt of having 'things to do'. Then, D & I decided, enough is enough, "I don't wanna have to go fishing for what I want in the pantry, it should be right here." So we simplified and organized that. That felt so good, we organized the fridge, then the freezer, then the baker's pantry, then the garage, on and on. At the end of each new organization, we saw how our family spent less time fishing and more time doing. So by implementing some simple systems in and around our daily routine, we've found more time to do the things that not only need to get done, but also the things we've been wanting to do, which, in some cases, is just to not do anything!
We'll be sharing the systems we've created and are working on within our home environment, our health & fitness, as well as some relationship & parenting advice that works for us and other fun stuff. Life is simply too beautiful to not take an active role in it and commit to our dreams, even if it's just the dream of allowing ourselves to be lazy for the next hour or so.
